The First Pillar of Islām
Īmān (Faith or belief) is the first pillar of Islām, it is referring to a believer's deep conviction in the metaphysical aspects of the religion, Īmān is not just an internal feeling but must be accompanied by righteous deeds and outward actions, For one to become a Muslim he must first has faith in Allāh.

Articles of Faith(Īmān)
There are six(6) articles of faith in Islām which are:
- Al-Īmān billāh (Faith in God)
- Al-Īmān bil malāʾikah (Faith in His Angels)
- Al-Īmān bil kutub (Faith in His Books)
- Al-Īmān bir rusul (Faith in His Messengers)
- Al-Īmān bil yawmil ākhir (Faith in the Day of Judgement)
- Al-Īmān bil qadar (Faith in Destiny/Fate)
