Branches Of Study:
- ʿIlmul Bayān (clarity of expression): This is the first stage where we deal with the connection and clarity of ideas through different expressions like simile, metaphor, metonymy and so on.
- ʿIlmul Maʿānī (semantics and meaning): This is the stage where we focus on conformity between thoughts and verbal images, meaning, and how to achieve specific pragmatic effects in sentences.
- ʿIlmul Badīʿ (Artistry): This is the last stage where we focus on the linguistic embellishments that beautify discoursion.
