Hardship In Islām
In Islām, hardships are seen as tests, opportunities for growth, and a means to expiate sins. Muslims are encouraged to:
- Be Patient: Show perseverance and trust in Allāh's plan.
- Seek Comfort in Prayer: Turn to Almighty Allāh in times of distress
- Reflect & Learn: Find lessons and wisdom in the hardship
Verily with every hardship comes ease.
Protection From Distress
When facing hardship, distress, or calamities, turn to Allāh and say "Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika min juhdil balāʾi, wa darakish shaqāʾi, wa sūʾil qaḍāʾi, wa shamātatil aʿdāʾi"
"O Allāh I seek refuge in YOU from severe calamities and hardships, grips of ill hope, evil destiny and from rejoicing of enemies".
