What is Īmān Bir-Rusul (Faith in The Messengers)
Al-Īmān Bir-Rusul (Faith in the Messengers) is the fourth pillar of faith in Islam, and it means firm belief that God sent messengers to guide humans, and that Prophet Muḥammad (S.A.W) is the last and the seal of the prophets.
Components of Faith in the Messengers
- Confirmation of their Conveyance: Believing that they conveyed everything God sent them with and they did not hide anything.
- Non-difference: Belief in all the messengers, and not distinguishing between one messenger and another (Q2:285)
- Acting According to their Law: Acting according to what they brought, and finally acting according to the law of our beloved Prophet Muḥammad(S.A.W), which nullified the previous laws.
- The Finality of Prophet Muhammad: Having faith and acknowledging that he is the last of the prophets and messengers, and there is no prophet after him.
